Seoul, November 23, 2018 \u2014 ICONLOOP is pleased to announce the\u00a0launch of the \u2018Lifelong Healthy Life\u2019 service in beta version<\/strong>. \u2018Lifelong Healthy Life\u2019 is a disease prediction service running on top of the blockchain developed in collaboration with\u00a0Kyobo Life<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0Insurance Co.<\/strong>, Korea\u2019s largest life insurance company as well as\u00a0LifeSimantics Co<\/strong><\/a>.<\/strong>, a renowned digital health company.<\/p>\n

The \u2018Lifelong Healthy Life\u2019 is a service which utilizes disease prediction algorithms developed based on health care and pre-health check data to forecast disease risk (over a 3 year period) and provide the comparative analysis of insurance coverages against actual risk data from insurance providers.<\/p>\n

The project aims to implement an empirical model combining in InsureTech, digital healthcare, and blockchain data authentication technology.\u00a0ICONLOOP is an entitled business partner for the \u2018FinTech Demonstration Project 2018\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0by\u00a0the Ministry of Science and Information Technology and Communication (MSIT)<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA)<\/a>, ICONLOOP has formed a consortium with Kyobo Life and LifeSemantics since May 2018.<\/p>\n

Unlike the existing insurance coverage analysis system, which measures future health risks based on the current insurance subscription data, \u2018Lifelong Healthy Life\u2019 service offers insurance products based on forecasts of future risks to provide reasonable and more affordable health care options for customers.<\/p>\n

In addition, by sharing the results of personal information certification on the blockchain, insurance holders can access and manage their health data and insurance information on their own, in alignment with the Personal Information Protection Regulations (GDPR). Once the customer\u2019s health examination records are passed to the blockchain-based authentication system, the data provided is made immutable being stored on the blockchain.<\/p>\n

ICONLOOP has built the blockchain authentication system for the \u2018Lifelong Healthy Life\u2019 based on \u2018loopchain\u2019. Loopchain is a blockchain engine that can be customized across the stack from the engine to application, allowing differentiated permission settings across nodes participating in the blockchain in order to respond to various tasks and compliance. Kyobo Life Insurance claims loopchain has successfully demonstrated its blockchain finance platform and now expects to scale its service into the \u2018Life record\u2019 management system or \u2018My data\u2019.<\/p>\n

J.H. Kim, CEO of ICONLOOP said, \u201cWe plan to expand our blockchain authentication system so that the InsureTech businesses based on disease prediction data infrastructure could be operated with security and derived services can be released at the same time.\u201d Hence\u00a0\u201cWe aim to hyperconnect with the heterogeneous blockchains through the ICON smart contract base while keep operating system tests and verification processes to expand the scope to first-class medical data management.\u201d<\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n

The ICONLOOP, developer of\u00a0CHAIN ID<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 Korea\u2019s first joint authentication blockchain system with Korea Financial Investment Blockchain Consortium, also participated in the Seoul Metropolitan Blockchain Demonstration Project. Also, ICONLOOP has been selected as a blockchain technology consultant for \u2018Building the Next Generation Election System based on Intelligence Information Technology<\/a>\u2019, supervised by\u00a0Korea National Election Commission<\/a>\u00a0(NEC).<\/p>\n

The ICONLOOP is actively expanding business development both in domestic and international markets such as the recent MOU with the\u00a0SK C&C<\/a>, and other financial companies. The ICONLOOP Team will continue to explore the use-case of blockchain with partners in a wide range of fields,\u00a0aiming to \u2018achieve interoperability with the ICON Public network and the ICONLOOP Private networks\u2019.<\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n
