May 12, 2025, Seoul — Web3 Enabler PARAMETA announced on the 12th that MyID 2.0, part of the shared blockchain infrastructure demonstration project for public institutions (K-BTF), has become the first blockchain service to obtain CSAP (Cloud Security Assurance Program) certification.

CSAP certification is the mandatory security certification scheme for Korean public institutions adopting cloud-based services. Jointly operated by the Ministry of Science and ICT and KISA, it is granted only to services meeting strict standards for information protection, physical security, and operational management. As the first such certification for a blockchain service, it is in itself an important milestone demonstrating the public-sector trustworthiness and practical viability of blockchain technology.

MyID 2.0, the service PARAMETA certified, is the core DID service of K-BTF, the program being pursued by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Internet & Security Agency. It is a subscription (SaaS) platform that public institutions can adopt within a week through service configuration alone, with no separate blockchain infrastructure build.

Adopting a blockchain service such as DID previously required months of implementation and hundreds of millions of won in budget for a public institution. The shared infrastructure built on MyID 2.0 cuts adoption costs by more than 90 percent and establishes a basis for connecting immediately to administrative services without development work.

MyID 2.0 can also be readily applied to a range of blockchain-based administrative services — citizen cards, digital certificates, access authentication, employee ID issuance — and is designed around a straightforward administrator interface and APIs that allow configuration without specialist staff.

Local governments and public institutions adopting the infrastructure can expect a range of digital transformation benefits, from more sophisticated resident-facing services to guaranteed data integrity, simplified administrative processing, and automated verification for civil applications.
