December 19, 2023, Seoul — Web3 Enabler PARAMETA (formerly ICONLOOP, CEO JH Kim) announced that it has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with Fingerlabs (CEOs Sangseok Lee and Donghoon Kim) and Blocko XYZ (CEO Kyunghoon Kim) to expand the Web3 ecosystem.
Under the agreement, the three companies will share proven blockchain technology and expertise built over many years, and combine their strengths to expand the Web3 and blockchain ecosystem. Since all three are of one mind on building blockchain infrastructure without barriers to entry, the partnership is expected to produce a range of solutions the public can use without any technical understanding of blockchain.
Fingerlabs, which will lead Web3 ecosystem expansion alongside PARAMETA, is a subsidiary of KOSDAQ-listed FSN and a leading Korean blockchain company developing and operating Web3 infrastructure spanning online and offline. It provides tailored solutions to major companies at home and abroad including SK Planet, Lotte Homeshopping, and SK Networks, and recently launched Bling, a user-participation Web3 membership program, together with Wemade and WEMIX — further broadening the base of the blockchain market.
Blocko XYZ, the other partner, is a blockchain company behind services such as CCCV, a digital badge certification service addressing social problems including personal data leaks and unauthorized use. CCCV provides straightforward digital badge issuance and management built on minimal collection of personal data and de-identification of information. While parent company Blocko (CEO Jonghwan Kim) focuses primarily on B2B, Blocko XYZ is concentrating on growing a blockchain industry that ordinary users can access easily, and was recently selected alongside Fingerlabs as a resident company at the Daegu Blockchain Technology Innovation Support Center.
"Both partner companies have put considerable effort into creating and expanding the Web3 and blockchain ecosystem, so we expect a range of synergies with PARAMETA," said PARAMETA CEO JH Kim. "We will do our best to accelerate mainstream adoption of the Web3 market through cooperation among three companies that each combine their own distinctive Web3 technology and expertise."
PARAMETA is a leading technology company in the Web3 and blockchain field, and develops and operates loopchain, a blockchain core engine for both public and enterprise use. loopchain is applied to public blockchain networks including ICON and HAVAH, and is also used across enterprise domains such as finance, the public sector, and authentication. PARAMETA CEO JH Kim recently received a commendation from the Minister of Science and ICT in recognition of his contribution to applying blockchain technology across a range of industries.
