ICONLOOP and Saramin Apply Blockchain Across Recruitment Services in a Korean First

The two companies, which signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) earlier this year on building a blockchain-based digital ID ecosystem and pursuing joint business, have now completed their business and technical collaboration and are beginning full-scale application of ICONLOOP's blockchain technology to the job-seeking and recruitment services Saramin operates.
ICONLOOP's blockchain technology will be applied to Saramin's final interview report tamper-proofing service, its DID-based certificate tamper-proofing service, and its offline test attendance check service for candidates — a combination expected to substantially raise the reliability of the recruitment services Saramin provides.
First, the final interview report tamper-proofing service will guarantee the transparency of scoring results. Scores generated during recruitment examinations run by Saramin are recorded on the blockchain in real time, making it impossible to overturn results after the fact and thereby contributing significantly to a more transparent hiring process.
The DID-based certificate tamper-proofing service uses Zzeung (www.zzeung.id), a DID service built on ICONLOOP's MyID platform, together with broof (www.broof.io), a certificate service — with the aim of greatly improving both the credibility of certificates and the convenience of submitting them. When applicants submit the certificates required at the application stage, the information is stored on the blockchain to prevent tampering, and the familiar hassle of printing out multiple documents and uploading them one file at a time is resolved as well.
The offline test attendance check service, meanwhile, implements identity verification for recruitment examination candidates. Applying blockchain DID technology to verify a candidate's eligibility via QR code makes attendance checks faster and more convenient, while strictly limiting misconduct such as proxy test-taking at examination sites. VisitMe (www.visitme.app), ICONLOOP's DID-based credential verification service, will be applied to this service.
ICONLOOP and Saramin HR plan to open the services in stages through December, starting with the final interview report tamper-proofing service in September.
"I am confident that the values blockchain offers — reliability, transparency, and stability — will have a major impact on the recruitment market as well," said ICONLOOP CEO JH Kim. "The many members of Saramin, Korea's leading job platform, will experience blockchain technology directly and feel its practical benefits."
