MyID Alliance and Korea Startup Forum to Co-Host 'Startups, Take Command of the Digital ID Era'

Co-hosted by the MyID Alliance and the Korea Startup Forum and sponsored by ICONLOOP (CEO JH Kim) and Startup Alliance, the event takes on digital ID, one of the hottest topics in the industry today.
The program opens with a keynote by Gunhee Lee, advisory committee member of the MyID Alliance, on "The Future of Blockchain and Digital ID," followed by case presentations from global leisure platform company Yanolja, enterprise SNS service provider The Bom S, and blockchain specialist ICONLOOP. Across the presentations, speakers will discuss ways to resolve the shortcomings of conventional identity verification — repeated mobile phone authentication, personal data leakage caused by submitting identification documents, and rising costs of managing personal data — and how startups in each field can prepare to lead the digital ID era.
After the case presentations, Jiyoung Choi, Deputy Secretary General of the MyID Alliance secretariat, will lay out a vision for leading the digital ID era in a talk titled "Digital Economy Innovation Through MyID."
"Beyond the ID ecosystems of the past built on IDs and passwords, certificates, and social logins, blockchain-based digital ID has recently drawn attention as the defining topic of the moment," said Deputy Secretary General Choi. "Together with many startups, including Korea Startup Forum member companies that will lead Korean industry across a wide range of fields, the MyID Alliance plans to build and expand a digital ID ecosystem that resolves user inconvenience in practical terms."
Registration for "Startups, Take Command of the Digital ID Era" is available in advance through the Onoffmix website. Anyone interested in digital ID, blockchain, or startups may attend free of charge.
