PARAMETA took the stage at an international forum as a technology company representing Korea.

Today we want to share news of a meaningful international stage PARAMETA took part in as a technology company representing Korea.

From February 2 to 4, the 45th ASEAN+3 Bond Market Forum (ABMF), co-hosted by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK), was held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

PARAMETA was officially invited to this gathering of financial cooperation, where it presented a new standard model for cross-border transactions built on blockchain technology.

ASEAN+3 Bond Market Forum (ABMF)

The largest bond market consultative body in the Asian region, drawing finance ministries, central banks, and central securities depositories (CSDs) from Korea, China, Japan, and the ASEAN countries.

The forum's core working group, the Digital Bond Market Forum (DBMF), was established at the proposal of Korea's Ministry of Economy and Finance.

It is a genuinely important venue — Korean figures including Joonghoon Park, Managing Director at the Korea Securities Depository, and Professor Seok Hyun of Yonsei University serve on its steering committee and are leading the discussion on digital innovation in Asian finance.

PARAMETA took the podium at the DBMF session as a technology company representing Korea.

On the 4th, the final day of the event, PARAMETA Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) Jeonghoon Lee gave a presentation titled "A Wallet-Based Eligibility Layer for Cross-Border Digital Bond Participation."

If you have ever invested in overseas bonds, you know the drill: complicated identity verification documents to submit every single time, plus the hassle and risk of moving your assets abroad (asset bridging).

To solve this, PARAMETA proposed a "Know Your Wallet" (KYW) model built on onchain KYC (On-chain Know Your Customer) technology and ParaSta, its stablecoin platform.

  • Keep the investor's eligibility information in a blockchain wallet
  • Prove "investment eligibility" through the wallet without having to move assets overseas at all
  • Invest in overseas products as easily as using a domestic service, while staying compliant with global regulation

PARAMETA has spent years building core blockchain technology and infrastructure inside Korea's demanding financial regulatory environment.

This presentation drew strong attention from regulators across the participating countries precisely because it turned that know-how into a common solution the whole of Asia could use.

PARAMETA also introduced a pilot model built with partner RiskX, an AI company specializing in structured products, applying the technology to complex structured bonds — which met with an enthusiastic response.

  • "Our goal is a world where a single wallet lets you invest safely in financial products anywhere on the planet.
  • With this presentation at the ADB-hosted forum as a starting point,
  • we will work to make PARAMETA's onchain KYC technology the global standard for Asia's digital finance market."
  • Jeonghoon Lee, CSO of PARAMETA

Beyond Korea, PARAMETA is helping shape the standards of Asia's financial markets — stay with us for what comes next. 🙌

There is more on the way.
