PARAMETA has signed a three-way memorandum of understanding (MoU) with COOCON, a financial API platform company, and Infiniteblock, a custody VASP, to expand stablecoin infrastructure and accelerate its adoption in Korea.

PARAMETA CEO JH Kim, COOCON CEO Jonghyun Kim, and Infiniteblock CEO Gootae Jung all attended the signing ceremony, where the three companies affirmed their commitment to building a stablecoin-based digital finance infrastructure.

Stablecoins have grown into something far beyond a digital dollar. They are becoming next-generation financial infrastructure spanning payments, settlement, and remittance. Yet the infrastructure that actually connects them to Korea's financial sector is still taking its first steps.

What makes this agreement meaningful is that three companies, each strong in a different area, are joining forces to build one complete, all-in-one process.

  • PARAMETA: develops ParaSta, a stablecoin orchestration platform, and serves as the hub for issuance, settlement, and API integration
  • COOCON: provides real-world payment infrastructure through 2 million offline QR merchants, 100,000 major franchise stores, and 40,000 ATMs nationwide
  • Infiniteblock: provides a digital vault service built on custody and electronic wallets

Combine the three companies' capabilities and you get a complete pipeline that runs from stablecoin issuance to distribution, payment, and settlement.

PARAMETA has already built up experience working with the financial sector through the world's first blockchain-based joint certification service and the first DID service in Korean finance. It is also the only company in Korea with experience running a CSAP-based blockchain service, which has earned it trust in public sector collaborations as well.

Through this agreement, ParaSta has secured a core layer that connects directly to the financial sector. That matters because it lays the groundwork for companies and institutions considering a stablecoin issuance to choose PARAMETA as the gateway through which they connect safely to financial institutions.

This agreement establishes the foundation for stablecoins to connect directly to payment and settlement in the financial sector, and companies and institutions weighing stablecoin issuance and links to financial institutions will be able to enter the market more safely and more quickly going forward

PARAMETA CEO JH Kim

PARAMETA will create this turning point together with Korea's financial sector through ParaSta, and we will keep leading the expansion of the stablecoin ecosystem.

We hope you will follow along with us.
