PARAMETA has earned CSAP certification for MyID 2.0, a first for a blockchain service in Korea.
PARAMETA has become the first blockchain service in Korea to earn CSAP (Cloud Security Assurance Program) certification, with MyID 2.0 — the core DID service of the public-sector blockchain shared infrastructure pilot project (K-BTF).
CSAP is the security certification scheme that Korean public institutions are required to look for when they adopt cloud-based services. It is jointly run by the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) and the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA).
Because certification is granted only after every one of its strict criteria is met — information protection, physical security, operational management and more — this is a meaningful milestone that demonstrates both the public-sector trustworthiness and the practical effectiveness of blockchain technology.
MyID 2.0 serves as the core DID service in the public-sector blockchain shared infrastructure (K-BTF) that MSIT and KISA are building. It is a subscription-based (SaaS) platform that a public institution can adopt within a week through configuration alone, with no infrastructure of its own to stand up.
Adopting a blockchain service such as DID used to take months of build time and hundreds of millions of won (KRW) in budget. Using the shared infrastructure built on MyID 2.0 cuts adoption costs by more than 90% and gives institutions a foundation they can wire straight into their administrative services, with no separate development work.
With CSAP certification in hand, we now have the foundation to deliver blockchain services that public institutions can rely on with greater safety and confidence. We will keep working to set the standard for public platforms built on DID and Web3 data, in Korea and beyond.
