PARAMETA CEO JH Kim was selected as a recipient of the 2023 blockchain merit awards and received a commendation from the Minister of Science and ICT (MSIT).
As the head of PARAMETA, one of Korea's leading blockchain technology companies, Kim earned the honor in recognition of his contribution to applying distinctive blockchain technology across a wide range of industries and turning it into real innovation. The judges gave particular weight to two things: years of proprietary development that produced loopchain, a blockchain core platform for both public and enterprise use, drawing a clear line between PARAMETA and the many blockchain companies that build on overseas open source — and then applying it across the public sector, finance, retail, authentication, healthcare, and more, leading innovation through a long list of successful use cases.
The ceremony took place on the 15th at 2023 Blockchain Grand Week, held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Under the theme "Blockchain, Adding Trust to Digital Platforms," PARAMETA took part by running a promotional booth introducing the battery remaining-life certification service business it is developing with PMGROW, along with its own high-performance blockchain framework, PARAMETA Framework.
Earlier, PARAMETA had been selected as the lead operator for the battery remaining-life certification service, one of the projects under the <2023 Blockchain Private Sector Intensive Program> run by MSIT and the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) to energize the blockchain industry. PARAMETA formed a consortium with participating company PMGROW and developed the service jointly. The booth put that service front and center — a service that uses blockchain to build a transparent, user-centered battery data ecosystem and deliver tangible value.
PARAMETA Framework, the optimal platform for Web3 Transformation, also got the spotlight. It is a full-package blockchain toolkit that covers development from Layer 0 all the way to Layer 4 (L0–L4), and it delivers remarkable transaction (TX) throughput thanks to loopchain, PARAMETA's Hyper Performance Blockchain core, which already supports up to 20,000 TPS and is being developed toward a target of 100,000 TPS. That clears the throughput ceiling that used to limit industrial adoption, opening the door to real-time trading use cases such as STO.
It feels good to see the sustained effort we have put into securing differentiated technology — and into contributing real value to the growth of the blockchain industry — lead to a result like this.
