Web3 Game Transforming is a business transition support program that covers the entire Web3 transition process — from specialist technical consulting through to the technology needed for actual development — for game company partners preparing for a Web3 transition or looking to expand into Web3. PARAMETA designed the program as it prepares to add a custody service to PARAMETA W (Wallet as a Service), built on wallets operated by VASP-licensed businesses. Drawing on its distinctive Web3 and blockchain capabilities and years of accumulated know-how, the company plans to support a Web3 transition tailored to each partner.

The program runs on PARAMETA W, PARAMETA's trustworthy custody-based key management service. PARAMETA W is a flagship PARAMETA service that lets you apply a Web3 wallet through API integration, with no infrastructure of your own to build. It keeps personal identity and data securely managed through DID and PDS technology, and delivers a straightforward, powerful Web3 wallet built around convenient UX.
In particular, by using wallets from exchanges that hold VASP licenses and operate safely, PARAMETA will offer a custody service with proven security and usability across KYC (know your customer), AML (anti-money laundering), and FDS (fraud detection systems). Technical collaboration is currently under discussion with exchanges including Coinone.
In a Web3 game, where data management is user-centered, nothing matters more than secure private key management — and with a non-custody approach, a lost private key cannot be recovered, so the risk of losing assets is high. Seen in that light, PARAMETA W's VASP-based custody service is expected to sharply reduce the risk of users losing assets through more secure private key management, while offering ease of use at the same time.
There is another problem, too. Playing a Web3 game normally means the user has to install a Web3 wallet, or the game company has to implement wallet functionality inside the game — an area that demands deep expertise and has proven hard for game companies to build in-house. PARAMETA W can improve usability dramatically for users and developers alike, through UX convenience that reproduces the development environment of an existing Web2 game.
PARAMETA is accepting Web3 Game Transforming partner applications through its website until April 24, and will select 10 game companies as program partners to support their Web3 transition.
