What is the STO Vision Group?

It is an inter-company consultative body formed to build a security token ecosystem, following the incorporation of security token issuance and distribution into capital markets law. NH Investment & Securities launches the STO Vision Group, a security token consultative body

Building an STO ecosystem and exploring a security token platform

CEO Youngchae Jeong: collaboration models and results within the year

NH Investment & Securities is moving in earnest into security token offerings (STO), which the new administration is pursuing as part of its innovative finance agenda.

The brokerage announced on March 26 that it had held the launch ceremony for its security token consultative body, the STO Vision Group, on March 24 at its head office in Yeouido, Seoul (Parc1 Tower 2). The ceremony set out the group's aim — building a healthy STO ecosystem and establishing a standard for security token platforms — along with three principles: △ customer orientation △ collaboration first △ industry leadership.

NH Investment & Securities plans to keep sharing developments in security token regulation and industry trends through ongoing operation of the body. It will also gather voices from a range of industries to identify collaboration models that fit the security token guidelines, within the year. And it intends to expand the body gradually, bringing in companies whose aims align with the purpose of the STO Vision Group.

Formed in February with NH Investment & Securities at its center, the STO Vision Group is a consultative body for practical discussion, bringing together fractional investment operators, unlisted stock brokers, blockchain technology companies, and valuers of the physical assets that underpin the tokens. Eight representatives from the various fields attended the launch ceremony, including NH Investment & Securities CEO Youngchae Jeong, TogetherArt Vice President Seunghaeng Lee, Seoul Exchange CEO Seyoung Kim, and Block Odyssey CEO Kiyoung Kim.

Jeong said the STO Vision Group has a concrete business model for building the ecosystem, which he believes sets it apart in terms of market competitiveness, and that the participating companies would hold equal standing and work to build a leading security token business model by acting as enablers of security tokens.
