ICONLOOP is now PARAMETA
ICONLOOP, one of Korea's leading blockchain companies, has changed its name to PARAMETA and is scaling up its Web3 Transformation business in earnest.
The new name joins two parts: Para, the English prefix meaning beyond or transcending, and Meta, which carries the sense of higher, transcendent, a shift in position or state, a new trend. Together they express our ambition to turn the business value created by blockchain and Web3 technology into a meta-trend. There is a second meaning too, drawn from parameter — the variable you pass in to execute the command or function you want. That is the role we intend to play in driving our partners' successful adoption of and transition to Web3.
Along with the new name, PARAMETA unveiled a new slogan: Web3 Enabler. Under that banner, PARAMETA will focus on being a collaborative partner — supplying blockchain and Web3 technology and consulting to companies looking to move an existing Web2 business to Web3 or to launch a Web3-native business, and going further by connecting and extending multiple blockchain and Web3 platforms to grow the Web3 ecosystem together.
PARAMETA signaled that its Web3 Transformation business was in full swing last year by supplying its technology to HAVAH, the interchain NFT platform whose launch it completed, and to the digital identity MyData platform for Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, among others. HAVAH in particular has now passed 300,000 users, selling out three rounds of pre-sale and selling out the Mini Planet node NFTs in its public sale. Beyond those, PARAMETA already has Web3 Transformation projects under way with companies and institutions across a range of fields — an SNS with a million monthly active users (MAU), mobility, intellectual property, real estate, finance — and these will be announced soon. The goal from here is to keep connecting and expanding the ecosystem through Web3 Transformation in an even wider set of industries.
