Woorido is Korea's first blockchain-based integrated service platform covering both administrative and e-commerce services. Built on 87 categories of public MyData from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, including resident registration, it lets residents verify once and then use a wide range of services without repeating the process.
The platform is part of a program with a stated vision of a full digital transformation across every resident, every industry, and every branch of Gangwon Province's administration. Launched in April, Woorido reached 100,000 users in roughly six months, and in November it was named an outstanding innovation case in the digital government category of the 2022 Tech Excellence Awards run by the Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO), an international private-sector body whose members include IT industry associations from 24 countries such as Singapore, Australia, India, and Japan.
ICONLOOP continues to lead the industry through projects and research aimed at building user-centric data distribution networks, including the Gyeongsangbuk-do digital identity MyData platform and work on hyper-personalized MyData based on personal data stores (PDS).

The article reports that in late October, Gangwon Province announced Woorido had been selected as an outstanding innovation case in the digital government category of ASOCIO's 2022 Tech Excellence Awards, with ASOCIO praising the platform for advancing digital administration and raising service reliability.
Woorido launched in April to deliver digital administrative services through electronic ID cards issued to residents. Drawing on some 80 categories of public MyData, it lets people apply for personalized administrative services from a mobile device — no paper documents to issue or submit, no visit to a government office, no ID to hand over. As of the late-October announcement, about 100,000 residents had signed up. Services available through the platform include the provincial childcare basic allowance, the allowance for farmers and fishers, Chuncheon City's daily-life recovery support payment, and Chuncheon Municipal Library membership cards.
The platform was built by a consortium of private IT companies including mid-sized software firm Douzone Bizon and blockchain specialist ICONLOOP. It combines the technology and know-how Douzone Bizon developed running its cloud and big-data business platform WEHAGO and its personal platform NAHAGO with ICONLOOP's blockchain DID technology. A Douzone Bizon representative told the paper that new services such as personalized MyData-based notifications are close to launch, and that the company continues to advance the technology for residents' convenience.
