ICONLOOP is joining the XPLA blockchain mainnet as a validator — the role that verifies blockchain transactions — marking the full start of our validator business.
XPLA is a blockchain mainnet developed in-house by Com2uS Group, one of Korea's leading game companies, and it is built to serve digital media content of all kinds: not just games, but film, TV drama, and music.
As a validator, ICONLOOP takes on governance duties on XPLA, including proposing and verifying new blocks and voting.
Since its founding in 2016, ICONLOOP has built a blockchain R&D lab and, together with the largest and most capable development team in Korea's blockchain industry, has researched and developed everything from blockchain cores to blockchain services and interchain technology.
We have also delivered and supported blockchain technology across a wide range of fields — from public projects like ICON and HAVAH to public institutions and private companies such as the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Korea Financial Investment Association. In particular, we have been part of the ICON network's successful decentralization from the start and already serve as a validator for the ICON project. Building on that experience and capability, we plan to grow the validator business so that more mainnets can run their services with greater stability.
As blockchain services keep maturing and more purpose-built mainnets launch, ICONLOOP will support mainnet development and cross-chain connectivity while doing everything it can, as a validator, to strengthen blockchain stability and expand the ecosystem.
