Projects like HAVAH take on the limits of NFTs with interchain infrastructure
The report notes that NFTs today are confined to individual mainnet networks such as Ethereum, Klaytn and Solana, which caps how useful they can be. It expects that as interchain infrastructure matures, an environment will emerge in which NFTs cross chains and combine in all kinds of ways. HAVAH, a participant in the Grid alliance, is described as a platform that links NFTs issued on different chains and supplies the technology to use them without network constraints — gathering, say, a Klaytn-based NFT and a Solana-based NFT in one place to build the same projects. If the limitation that an NFT works only on one specific chain is resolved, the report suggests, mainstream NFT adoption could arrive considerably sooner.
