ICONLOOP and Shinhan Card are teaming up on blockchain DID.

ICONLOOP and Shinhan Card have signed a strategic alliance to develop a range of businesses together on top of blockchain DID (Decentralized Identifier).

The first result of that collaboration is already live: ICONLOOP's Jeju Safe Code service has been brought into Shinhan pLay. Users can now reach Jeju Safe Code conveniently through the electronic entry log scan function inside Shinhan pLay. Jeju Safe Code is the COVID-19 blockchain electronic entry log service ICONLOOP built together with Jeju Province, and it works at some 50,000 multi-use and public facilities across the island.

Starting from this project, ICONLOOP and Shinhan Card plan to pursue joint business in the DID field in earnest, and to widen the conversation toward expanding into other new blockchain technology areas down the road.

Putting ICONLOOP's Jeju Safe Code service inside Shinhan pLay should expand Korea's blockchain ecosystem another step. ICONLOOP will keep working, through a range of collaborations with Shinhan Card, to bring the value of blockchain technology into everyday life.
