ICONLOOP brings its DID technology to Gangwon Province's integrated digital service platform.
ICONLOOP is taking part in the project to build Nayana, Gangwon Province's integrated digital service platform, and applying its own DID (Decentralized Identifier) technology to it.
The project is being carried out under the vision of "a digital transformation of every resident, every part of the economy, and every part of the provincial administration in Gangwon." It will support non-face-to-face economic activity as a whole — providing services and information to the provincial administration and its residents, such as non-face-to-face payment of disaster relief funds and other subsidies, and delivering convenience through the integration of digital services. A consortium made up of Douzone Bizon and ICONLOOP is participating as the implementing organization.
Nayana, Gangwon Province's integrated digital service platform, is a mobile-based next-generation multi-platform that brings together everyday services scattered across administration, the economy, welfare, and more. It will not only remove existing inconveniences but also return value to residents as the subjects of their own information, and realize data sovereignty that individuals can control for themselves at any time.
By applying its DID technology to Nayana, ICONLOOP will simplify what have been complicated application processes and document requirements, while integrating online and offline identity verification to broaden usability across resident identity verification, credential verification, finance, and other fields. Using the data users provide when a DID is issued along with their personal settings, the platform will let people see at a glance which administrative services fit them, and ICONLOOP also plans to widen the range of services users can reach through existing DID services such as Gangwon Health Up.
To ensure Nayana is built and operated successfully, ICONLOOP today signed a mutual cooperation agreement with Gangwon Province together with digital innovation companies across a range of fields, including Douzone Bizon, Shinhan Bank, NH NongHyup Bank, and the Korea Simple Payment Promotion Foundation (ZeroPay). As Korea's first individual-centered integrated provincial administration service platform, Nayana is expected to contribute significantly to residents' quality of life and their satisfaction with the administration.
Ahead of this project, ICONLOOP confirmed DID's potential to raise social, economic, and industrial value by building and piloting a blockchain-based integrated chronic disease management platform for Gangwon Province. Going forward, we will keep expanding DID infrastructure and do our utmost for the digital transformation of every resident, every part of the economy, and every part of the provincial administration in Gangwon.
