A talk on the security threats facing blockchain — and the technologies that answer them
This past March, the Korean Institute of Communications and Information Sciences (KICS) hosted ICT Convergence Korea 2021 together with leading Korean partner organizations, under the theme "Opening the Post-COVID Era Through ICT Convergence Innovation." ICONLOOP CTO Edward Ryu spoke there,
and the video of his talk, "Blockchain Security Issues and Countermeasures," is now public.
Drawing on the experience and technology ICONLOOP has built by developing its own blockchain since the company was founded, the talk introduces blockchain technology, walks through the major security threats that arise on a blockchain, and looks at the technologies used to counter them.

Edward Ryu, ICONLOOP CTO
Currently CTO of ICONLOOP. He holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from POSTECH (Pohang University of Science and Technology) and a master's degree in computer engineering from the same university's graduate school.
He brings more than 15 years of software design and development experience as a CTO, team lead, and senior manager at companies including Selvas Healthcare, Infraware Technology, XCE, and LG Electronics.
