ICONLOOP's latest interview with Paxnet News is out.

ICONLOOP's latest interview with Paxnet News has been published.

The interview centers on how DID, a technology built on trust, can return data sovereignty to individuals. Through the story of the MyID-based DID services ICONLOOP has launched, what they have achieved so far and where they are headed next, we hope you will find some answers to the personal-data problems that keep resurfacing. As IT innovation gives rise to new kinds of businesses and data breaches become more frequent, we hope this is a chance to think again about what it really means that we have grown so used to services companies build on our personal data.

"We need to ask whether it is fair for companies to earn revenue by using our personal data in exchange for letting us use services like social media for free, and whether people should be given the option to refuse that use of their data," said ICONLOOP CEO JH Kim. "Blockchain is a tool for delivering fair and equal services through a transparent, trustworthy system, and it can solve problems like these."

"Launching a financial service together with banks, which verify identity at the highest level, is what I consider our biggest achievement so far," Kim said. "In the future, individuals will be able to freely combine and use the DIDs issued separately by each of these services."

.

"A number of public projects and R&D programs are under way to nurture blockchain technology," Kim added. "Going forward, I hope the industry grows in a way that lets companies secure core technology of their own rather than settling into an SI model."
