A DID visitor management system for the Seoul Blockchain Support Center, home to 35 blockchain startups
Building on its own DID platform, ICONLOOP is taking part in the joint development of a DID visitor management system for the Seoul Blockchain Support Center, home to 35 blockchain startups.
To that end, ICONLOOP, Fullstack Corp., MPTY Corporation and other leading blockchain companies in the DID (Decentralized ID) field signed an "Agreement on the Joint Development of a Blockchain-Linked Visitor Management System" with the Seoul Blockchain Support Center on the 15th. The agreement was drawn up for the purpose of jointly developing a system that manages the identities of Seoul Blockchain Support Center visitors using DID.
The three companies, ICONLOOP among them, plan to jointly develop and install a QR-code-based DID visitor management system at the eighth-floor reception desk of the Seoul Blockchain Support Center during January of next year. Once the system is in place, data on outside visitors to the center will be encrypted and recorded and managed on the blockchain, with the blockchain used to verify whether any record has been tampered with. And because blockchain DID technology lets visitors keep, manage and control their own information on their own phones, personal identity data stays protected and can be submitted securely.
The system is expected not only to help curb the spread of COVID-19 but also to substantially improve the efficiency and transparency of entry-record management, strengthening security for the center's resident companies. We hope this agreement leads to a successful DID visitor management system and to blockchain technology continuing to contribute to efforts such as containing the spread of COVID-19.

Seoul Blockchain Support Center
Opened by the Seoul Metropolitan Government in December last year, the Seoul Blockchain Support Center is the only local-government-run space in Korea dedicated to hosting and incubating blockchain startups. As of November 2020 it houses 35 blockchain startups.
