The VisitMe electronic visitor log is a QR-based service that digitizes the handwritten visitor registers venues have been keeping to help trace the movements of confirmed cases. Visitors simply scan a QR code placed at the venue to check themselves in, so no extra equipment or staff is needed to scan anything. The QR code is supplied when you sign up, which sharply lowers the barrier to adopting it.
ICONLOOP is offering the VisitMe electronic visitor log free of charge as part of the effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, and three months on it is spreading fast: user numbers have reached 100,000 and more than 1,000 venues have applied to adopt the service.
